DoradoStrip paint removers
NEED TIME to penetrate the coatings and lift them off. Most
coatings lift off in 6 to 18 hours. If possible, spray the remover
on the coating in the late afternoon and leave overnight (weather
and conditions permitting). By the next morning the job
should be done. Allow extra time in cooler climates.

Low VOC, water-based
paint remover that will effectively lift highly
cross-linked urethane and epoxy topcoats and primers,
alkyds and the toughest of industrial coatings and
linings. This low odor product is capable of lifting
fuel resistant primers, some inorganic primers and
coal tar epoxies. Recommended for use in petrochemical
paints, chemical tank farms and nuclear facilities.
This product contains no TAPs or HAPs, offers easy
cleanup with soap and water or denatured alcohol.

DoradoStrip is also
effective in removing urethanes, alkyds, two part epoxy
coatings, and fusion-bonded epoxies.

5051 is a heavy industrial
remover used for highly cross-linked urethanes and epoxy
topcoats and primers, including fuel resistant primers.
|
|
|
3032 is recommended
for use on Concrete Floors to remove urethane coatings.
|
|
|
2021 is designed for
use on Water Storage Tanks, Waste Water Treatment Facilities,
and so forth.
|
|
|
Depending on formulation,
some organic zincs may not be removed. Always try a
test area for suitability.
|
|
|
|
Wherever there is
a choice between 2021 and 5051, remember the following:
If the coating has a (high build) or is reinforced with
a high percentage of solid content, then 5051 will work
faster than 2021. Yet, 2021 will lift more deeply, thoroughly,
and completely than 5051. A second application may be
needed with 5051.
|

|
Always do a test patch
to determine the product that is best suited for the
job and how much dwell time will be required to complete
the job.

|
 DoradoStrip
products are primarily engineered for spray application.
It is recommended that you use an airless sprayer or
HVLP (similiar to the Titan 440i shown at right), to apply these
products. Even the smallest airless sprayer is capable of
spraying DoradoStrip. High pressure is neither required nor desired.
High pressure and narrow tip sizes will break the remover's emulsion
and will destroy its effectiveness. Equip the sprayer with a tip
size of 0.019 inches or larger. If you do not have access
to DIY paint equipment consult your local yellow pages for rental
companies in your area or try the
Rental Site,
who offer a directory of rental providers nationwide.
