" My problem was... I was shaking up a full unused gallon of white latex paint while standing over the blue Berber carpet in our bedroom. Out of my hands it went falling upside down and popping fully open. By the time I recovered as much as I could with a cup, I had lost about 1/2 of the gallon. Needless to say a big white spot was left on our floor. (my wife took it quite well thankfully!) Checking with a couple paint/hardware stores I was given two suggestions. One a wire brush and a steam cleaner, the other Motsenbocker's Lift Off®. For the good of our carpet I chose Liftoff. It took about a week and almost the whole bottle but it took up the entire spot. It is like it never happened. I was hoping to make it passable but the product far exceeded my expectations for our carpet. I followed the instructions on the bottle, but added a scrubbing with a soft carpet brush and vacuuming after I let each application completely dry.
