RemovALL 320 Napier
Environmental
Architectural paint remover Brush Grade
|
| |
A
product of Napier Environmental Technologies RemovALL 320 is a Brush Grade water-based paint remover that is
biodegradable, user-friendly, environmentally safe and practically
odor-free. This powerful
paint stripping formula is engineered to remove graffiti and most paints
including urethane, lacquer, varnish, alkyd and latex from wood,
masonry, brick and other porous substrates.
RemovALL 320 works best when used on porous surfaces
however it will provide adequate results when used on a non-porous
surface. For normal stripping of a non-porous surface, we
recommend using RemovALL 210 or 220. Scraping or power washing will always be necessary to
complete the removal process. Pressure washing is the
manufacturer’s recommended method. Regardless of method used, the
stripped surface must be rinsed with water to remove all chemical
residues prior to repainting the surface. RemovALL 320 is great
for use in floor stripping applications and is often used by hospitals
and/or maintenance departments.
RemovALL products are powered by patented SARA Technology. This
technology utilizes the physical forces released by chemical reactions
to break the bond between the paint and the substrate. Coatings lift off
cleanly and can be easily removed.

Our test
board has 20 painted layers...
We applied RemovALL 320 to our test board in a temperature controlled
environment. When applying the product it is important to follow the
manufacturer’s instructions for stirring. Never shake. Stirring
allows the product to mix properly and conform to proper brush grade
consistency. The manufacturer recommends use of a high speed drill mixer
(if available) or to hand stir allow ample time to properly complete the
task.
|

|
... we
checked up on the test after 12 hours ...
RemovALL 320 had already begun to lift on its own. We could easily see
cracking and separation between layers. We did notice that the product
was pulling away (or shrinking) around the edges of the initial
application. Although our tests show the remover is still working in
these area's it is prudent to re-apply after several hours to these
spots. This will make removal easier.
|
| |
|

|
... at 24
hours our timed test was complete.
We used the ProGrip2 putty knife to easily remove 15 of the 20 painted
layers. This test board had more layers than in the similar
RemovALL 220 test.
Since RemovALL 320 was designed for use on wood (or porous) surfaces, we
assumed more dramatic results. And we were right! Plus the product was
still plenty wet after the 24 hour period which made removal easy. The
painted layers lifted right off with little effort in a stringy
pasty-like substance. In harsher environments (wind, rain, temperature
or high humidity) you will need to check removal times more closely.
