SARA Technology
|
|
SARA Technology utilizes physical
energy released by chemical reactions to break the bond between the
coating and the substrate, lifting the paint right off the surface. The
paint chips can be easily removed by vacuuming, scraping or pressure
washing.

Preparation:
Cover / protect areas where the paint is to be left on. Remove masking
tape immediately after application as the remover may soak through the
tape, damaging the paint beneath it. Thoroughly mix the remover, prior
to use, with a drill at high speed if available.
Test Patch:
Always prepare a test patch in an inconspicuous area prior to full
application. This will indicate the time required and suitability of
product.
Application:
Apply a thick even layer onto the coating being removed. An
airless spray machine is the most effective means for application.
Use a tips size of 700 microns (.019in) or larger. Brushing and
rolling product lower film builds, req1uiring additional applications
resulting in longer strip times. once applied, leave the product
alone, as agitation slows down penetration.
Coverage:
The desirable thickness of remover is approximately one and a half times
the dry film thickness of the paint. Minimum thickness should be
15 mils (wet film). yield is approximately 40 to 75 sq. ft. per
gallon.
Re-Application:
If poor adhesion exists between paint layers, the remover may lift the
coating layer by layer. If this happens, remove the lifted layers and
re-apply remover. While the removal process is taking place do not allow
the remover to dry on the surface. If it starts to dry, reapply the
remover.
Dwell Time:
The time required for penetration varies according to the types of
paint, the number of layers to be removed and the temperature. Some
paint systems may take between 1 and 6 hours. Leaving the remover
overnight will provide best results.
Removal:
Removal of residue can be completed by scraper, squeegee, wet/dry vacuum
system or by high pressure (2,500 – 3,500 psi) water wash. Dispose of
solid paint waste in accordance with government regulations.
Temperature:
Above 55°F (13°C). If working in cooler temperatures expect a longer
dwell time. Keep from freezing.
Limited Guarantee / Warranty:
The manufacturers’ liability under any express or implied
guarantee/warranty is limited solely to replacement of products shown
defective or a refund of the purchase price. Claims must be made within
one year of purchase and be accompanied by proof of purchase. The
manufacturer shall not be liable for injury, cost of labor, or direct,
incidental or consequential damages.
|
| In many cases, the coating type
may be unknown. This chart is only a guideline. Always do a
test patch to determine which RemovALL product is best suited for any
particular job. This will also indicate the dwell time required to
complete the project and suitability for the substrate. |

Avoid contact
with eyes and skin. Prolonged and repeated exposure to skin may cause
irritation. Wash hands after using. Keep container closed when not
in use. Do no transfer contents to other containers for storage.
CONTAINS:
ALCOHOLS. Use only with adequate ventilation. To avoid over
exposure, open window and doors or use other means to ensure fresh air
entry during application and dwell time. If you experience eye watering,
headaches or dizziness, increase fresh air or wear respiratory
protection (NIOSH approved) or leave the area. Rubber gloves and safety
glasses are recommended.
FIRST AID:
In case of eye contact, flush thoroughly with large amounts of water for
15 minutes. If irritation persists, get medical attention. For skin
contact, wash thoroughly with soap and water. In case of respiratory
difficulty, provide fresh air and call physician. If swallowed, get
medical attention immediately.
